Ali Kuhzarani of San Rafael, California, passed away suddenly on May 31, 2025, at the age of 45. Born on August 29, 1979, Ali’s vibrant and adventurous spirit left a lasting imprint on all who knew and loved him.
Ali’s unexpected passing, due to a sudden heart attack, has left his family, friends, and wider community heartbroken. Just hours before, he had experienced stomach pain and nausea—an important reminder of how vital it is to take warning signs of heart conditions seriously.
To those closest to him, Ali was known simply as “@kuzeh”—a soul full of energy, warmth, and laughter. He was the beloved cousin of Sudi Farokhnia, who remembers him fondly as the joyful little boy with silky pointy hair and smiley eyes who grew into a man who never lost his childlike joy. Ali had a gift for making people laugh, for gathering them around the BBQ grill, for living fully in every moment.
He loved the outdoors and could often be found skiing, playing tennis, dancing, and traveling. But more than anything, he loved connecting with others—especially children. His personality was larger than life, and his heart was big enough to touch everyone around him.
Ali is survived by his loving parents, his devoted sister Aida, and brother-in-law Ardavan, along with an extended circle of family and dear friends who are struggling to comprehend this loss. The family takes some comfort in believing that Ali is now reunited with his beloved daughter Grace, whose memory he held close always.
A memorial service and celebration of life will be held on Saturday, June 14, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Valley Memorial Park, 650 Bugeia Lane, Novato, CA 94945. Family and friends are invited to come together to remember Ali, share stories, and honor the beautiful soul that left this world too soon.
