Jack Stultz Obituary Moncton NB, Crandall University Chancellor Passed Away

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of H. Jack Stultz, beloved Chancellor Emeritus of Crandall University, who passed away in Moncton, New Brunswick, Canada.

Jack Stultz was a pillar of the Crandall University community, known for his unwavering dedication and generous spirit. A graduate of the Class of 1952, Jack went on to serve the university with distinction for 36 years on the Board of Governors, and from 2009 to 2014, he held the esteemed position of Chancellor. In recognition of his and his wife Grace’s extraordinary contributions to the institution, Stultz Hall proudly bears their name—a lasting legacy of their heartfelt investment in education and community.

Jack’s impact extended far beyond Crandall. He was a cherished member of Hillside Baptist Church, where his presence was felt deeply by generations of worshippers. His faith, leadership, and compassion earned him respect and admiration from all corners of the Moncton community and beyond.

He leaves behind his beloved wife Grace, and a devoted family including Steve and family, David and family, Janice and family, and Lynda and family. His memory will be cherished by countless friends, former colleagues, students, and community members who were fortunate to know him.

Expressions of love and condolences have poured in since the announcement of his passing. “His impact on our community was immeasurable, and he will be deeply missed,” wrote Gary G. Rouse. “He was well known at Crandall and, of course, Hillside Baptist Church,” remembered James Robert Hannah. “He will be missed for sure.”

Visitation will take place at Fergusons Funeral Home on Sunday, June 8, from 2–4pm and 7–9pm. A funeral service to honour Jack’s life and legacy will be held at Hillside Baptist Church on Monday, June 9, at 2:00pm.

Jack Stultz lived a life marked by service, integrity, and faith. His legacy will endure in the lives he touched, the halls he helped build, and the university he helped guide with wisdom and love.
